John likes ancient Egypt. In fact, John like ancient anything. (Have you ever met his ex-wife?) We are beginning to wonder about him. (He even told us he wants to be mummified when he dies and gave us the name of a place out in Colorado that will do the job.) But he does have his good points and he does some really nice work. These piece were all done using Adobe Photoshop8 and Photoshop CS. (He finally broke down and bought CS2 but he hasn't made any pretty pictures with it yet.) These are not photographs but original pieces of artwork. (He did use photographs to get his ideas though.) |

| The scene of Ulrecht Castle on Scotland's Loch Ness (yeah ok so that one is not ancient Egypt) was done for fun and shown to a friend of ours in Scotland. He liked it so much he showed it to his local Board of Tourism and they commissioned several similar works of landmarks in the Glasgow area. (See we told you sometimes we get lucky and people buy the stuff we do when we get bored. |

| We got inspired with this one. We were asked to produce the posters, programs and advertising for a local jazz festival. Billie Holiday seemed the obvious choice to represent the Jazz medium until we found out it was Contemporary Jazz. Well, once we get an idea in our heads we don't let go so we did a portrait of Lady Day anyway, just for the fun of it. (Yes that was done completely in Photoshop CS - no photographs here.) So, if you're planning a Jazz Festival where Billie Holi9day will be featured, you know where to come. |

| Halloween was coming up so we decided to get a bit spooky. Of course, unless Disneyworld calls us we doubt anyone will be buying our ghost ship, but it was fun to do. (Does anyone have Johnny Depp's phone number?) |

| These were pieces which were incorporated into other works. Sometimes we find a real use for the stuff we do when we're bored. |
|
| Sometimes graphic designers just get a little crazy when they get bored. (We get bored If it is too cold outside to play croquette in our boxers or we don't want to go to the local mosh pit.) That's when we start doing weird things. |

| Those are Clarus the Dogcow, Apple's mascot, and Tux the Linux Penguin sitting on Uncle Bill's shoulders. We can't explain what we did to the Norman Rockwell Thanksgiving cover, but one of our Canadian friends appreciated it. (Well actually we could explain but then we would have to lock you away in a small room for the rest of your life with only tofu to eat and celery juice to drink.) |

| The moral of this story is, if you have any specific ideas in mind and you would like CSDC to create unique artwork for you, we would be happy to do it. Our talents range from the realistic to the surreal. The technical and professional to the humorous. Besides, when we do work for other people it keeps us from having to play croquette in our boxers in a blizzard in February. (None of us will ever forget the Frostbite Incident of 2003.) |
